Refund and Returns Policy
This policy applies to every order placed on yashretail.com. It is written plainly, because you should know exactly where you stand before you pay.
In short
- If the fan arrives damaged, defective, or is not the fan you ordered, we replace it. Tell us within 7 days of delivery.
- If you cancel before we dispatch, we cancel the order. You may take a refund or exchange the product.
- If we cannot deliver the product, or cannot replace it, you get 100% of your money back.
1. Damaged, defective, or wrong item
We will replace the product. There is nothing to argue about and nothing to prove beyond showing us the problem.
You must contact us within 7 days of delivery, by email, WhatsApp or telephone, using the details at the foot of this page. Please keep the original packaging and send a photograph or short video of the fault. That is usually all we need.
Once we accept the claim, we arrange the replacement at our cost. You do not pay return shipping.
Beyond the 7 days, a manufacturing fault in the motor is still covered by the 5-Year Motor Warranty on every Aapanam Vixa fan. That is a warranty repair or replacement rather than a return. See our Warranty, Replacement and Installation page.
Unboxing video — required
Please record a single, unbroken unboxing video, starting while the parcel is still sealed and continuing until the fan is completely unpacked. Before your parcel leaves our factory we send you a video of it being packed and sealed, so both sides hold the same record.
An unboxing video is required for a claim of transit damage, a wrong product, or a missing item or part. We cannot approve those claims without it. A manufacturing defect discovered after installation is covered by the 5-year motor warranty and does not need a video.
2. Cancelling before dispatch
You may cancel any order at any time before it has been dispatched. Contact us and we will cancel it.
You then have two choices.
Exchange. If you would rather have a different Aapanam Vixa model, we will change the order. Any difference in price is settled either way.
Refund. If you would rather have your money back, we refund the amount you paid, less the payment gateway charges. This deduction exists because the gateway charges a transaction fee when you pay us, and charges a second fee when we send the money back. Neither fee is returned to us. We pass on exactly what the gateway has taken from us and not one rupee more; the amount is stated to you before the refund is processed.
Refunds are returned to the same account you paid from, normally within 5 to 7 working days of the cancellation being confirmed. How quickly it appears in your statement is then a matter for your bank.
3. If we cannot deliver, or cannot replace
If the product never reaches you, or if we are unable to replace a faulty one, you receive a full refund of 100% of what you paid. No gateway charge is deducted. This is your right and we do not treat it as a concession.
4. After dispatch
Once a fan is on its way to you, it cannot be cancelled in transit. Refuse the delivery, or contact us and we will guide you. If the product is faulty, section 1 applies. If it is not, section 2 no longer does, and we will discuss what is possible.
5. What is not covered
Damage caused by incorrect installation, by tampering with the motor or the electronics, by voltage outside the fan's rated range, or by ordinary wear such as scratches to the finish, is not a manufacturing defect. Nor is a change of mind about the colour, once the fan has been installed.
6. International orders
Outside India the warranty is Return-to-Base: the product is returned to our service point, repaired or replaced, and sent back. Import duties and local taxes, where they apply, are the customer's responsibility and are not refundable by us.
7. Nothing here removes your rights
This policy sits alongside the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Where the law gives you a right that this page does not, the law wins.
